The 2015 Opera in the Park will include music from some of the most popular operas, such as Don Giovanni and The Tales of Hoffman, as well as highlights from all four of this season’s Virginia Opera productions, Orpheus in the Underworld, La Bohème, Romeo and Juliet and The Flying Dutchman.
This year's Opera in the Park features accompaniment by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Virginia Opera Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor, Adam Turner.

The Virginia Beach Neptune Festival includes a surfing competition, wine festival, concerts, art and craft show, parade, volleyball tournament, 8K and 5K runs, sailboat regatta, fireworks, and sand sculpture competition.

Virginia Cooperative Extension Fall Festival
On Saturday, September 26th, Virginia Cooperative Extension will be celebrating 15 years of providing services to the Portsmouth community from their office in Kingman Heights. From 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., the public is invited to attend the Fall Festival and Anniversary Celebration at their office
which is located at 105 Utah Avenue.
The Fall Festival will feature a plant sale, yard sale, children’s gardening activities, tool sharpening (for a small fee), beekeeping demonstrations, live chickens, plant doctor information booth, healthy recipes for fall, health and wellness tips, line dancing, Optima Health wellness information, healthy snacks, and more.
